Swimming in public pools safe from getting Convid19?

With aquatic centres permitted to open under Phase 2 of Singapore’s post-Coronavirus circuit breaker period, the Singapore Swimming Association (SSA) is proposing that :-

- one person be allowed in a lane at any one time.

- patrons to shower at home before and after their swims to discourage the use of communal facilities.

The above guidelines have been presented to national sports agency Sport Singapore (SportSG).

My concern is, can the chlorine in the pool kill the convid19 thoroughly?

Chlorine is known to kill virus but then this convid19 is different from any ordinary virus as not easy to destroy since it is very resistant to certain temp and can survive in water.😥

Hope my fear is unfounded and nothing will go wrong.

Convid19

In Singapore,  we have gone thru a period of CB (circuit breaker) 7 Apr till 4 May and further extended till 1st June 2020.
Some schools have started lessons on 2 June and rest to start the week on 8 June.

Life has been going downhill and many businesses suffer to the extend of closing (or already closed) and many people being retrenched.

This week being the 1st phase of loosening CB and if the condition is within control,  we can then proceed to phase 2 at end June.

We are looking forward to the days as in the past before this pandemic.

Of course life can never be the same as long as no vaccine is found.   We will have to observe and follow strictly on:

- safety distancing
- wearing mask
- washing hands
